Red Brahmans
The Stud was established in 1983 with the purchase of a group of selected females from various selected established studs. Elite females were chosen from within our herd to use in an upgrading program that continues to this day. Over the years selected elite females were bought in to add to our genetic base. Sires were selected for their bone, scale, carcasse qualities and genetic strength.
From time to time A.I. Programs are undertaken to take advantage of new genetics that can lift our productions and that compliment the attributes that already exist in our herd. More recent years have seen us enter the 21st century with fantastic results from the use of EMBRYO TRANSFER and more recently IVF.
With continued rigid selection and culling we aim to continue to produce cattle for the ever changing market specifications. By using selected sires within our commercial herd we can finetune our stud breeding program as required.
Drop by and inspect our program for yourself. Bulls are offered for sale year round in the paddock and annually at the Rockhampton Brahman Week Sale.
